Two venues on Boerne Stage Road set the weekend calendar closest to Terra Mont this season, and they take turns. The San Antonio Rose Palace at 25665 Boerne Stage Road has an event on every weekend in November. Paradise Live at 25389 Boerne Stage Road takes over in December. Google Maps puts the Rose Palace about 5.3 miles and 10 minutes from Terra Mont by way of Babcock Road and Scenic Loop Road, and Paradise Live about 5.9 miles and 11 minutes.
There is a third option on the same days. Friedrich Wilderness Park has free City of San Antonio programs in November, and several of them fall on the same Fridays and Saturdays the Rose Palace is busy. Those programs cost nothing and need only a registration. Here is how the month lines up.
Four weekends, four different events
The Rose Palace lists a different event for each weekend of the month, and each one draws a different crowd.
| Weekend | Event at the Rose Palace | Who can attend and what it costs |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday, Nov 7 | Monster Truck Wars | Ticketed shows at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Advance adult general admission is $25, and children 3 to 12 are $15 |
| Friday to Sunday, Nov 13 to 15 | Vintage Market Days of Greater San Antonio | Friday early buying is $15, Saturday and Sunday admission is $10, and children under 12 get in free |
| Friday to Sunday, Nov 20 to 22 | Youth Super Bowl | The venue's booking form lists stall and RV reservations, and no public admission details are posted |
| Black Friday weekend, Nov 27 to 29 | Black Friday Team Roping, from High-Call Productions | The venue's booking form lists stall and RV reservations, and no public admission details are posted |
Monster Truck Wars on November 7. The Rose Palace homepage advertises Monster Truck Wars for November 6 and 7. The promoter's Monster Truck Wars event list shows only one San Antonio date, Saturday, November 7, 2026. My Neighborhood News reported three shows that day, at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. On the ticketing page, advance adult general admission is $25 and child admission for ages 3 to 12 is $15. Children 2 and under get in free if they sit on a parent's lap. For the 11 a.m. show, general admission gates open at 10 a.m. The ticket price goes up on the day of the show, gate sales are cash only and not guaranteed, and a parking fee may apply. If you plan to drive over that Saturday, use the promoter's single date.
Vintage Market Days on November 13 to 15. This is the weekend aimed at shoppers. The organizer bills it as the "Under the Mistletoe" holiday market. Early buying runs Friday, November 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for $15. General admission is $10 on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children under 12 get in free, the gate takes cash and cards, and one ticket covers re-entry all weekend. With the Vintage Market Days Greater San Antonio re-entry rule, you can scout on Friday morning and go back on Sunday afternoon on the same ticket.
November 20 to 22 and Black Friday weekend. The last two weekends are mainly for competitors. The Rose Palace lists the November 20 to 22 event as the Youth Super Bowl, and its reservation form for those dates is titled "Southwestern Showdown Classic." Black Friday Team Roping, produced by High-Call Productions, appears as November 27 to 29 on the Rose Palace homepage and as November 27 to 28 on the linked reservation form. Neither listing posts spectator hours or admission prices. Expect stall and RV traffic at the venue those weekends, and check with the Rose Palace before going to watch.
If a Saturday at the Rose Palace runs into the evening, Rudy's Leon Springs at 24152 W. IH 10 is open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. On Sunday through Thursday it closes at 9 p.m.
Friedrich runs free programs on the same days
Friedrich Wilderness Park is at 21395 Milsa Drive and is open daily from sunrise to sunset. The City describes nearly 10 miles of hiking trails and says the park is internationally known for bird watching. Friends of San Antonio Natural Areas describes deciduous woodland there that includes Texas persimmon, cedar elm, oak, cherry and walnut.
The City's November programs at Friedrich are free with registration, which opened at noon on October 30. Here are the sessions still ahead, matched against the Rose Palace calendar:
- Friday, November 6, 10 to 11 a.m.: Starting Out Wild: Turkeys Are Terrific! is for children 18 months to 3 years and includes nature activities and a walk. The next day is Monster Truck Wars.
- Saturday, November 7, 2:30 to 4 p.m.: Art in the Park is an all-ages class in ink and watercolor drawn from nature. It overlaps the 3 p.m. monster truck show.
- Friday, November 13, 10 to 11 a.m.: Starting Out Wild meets during the same hours as Vintage Market Days early buying.
- Saturday, November 14, 2:30 to 4 p.m.: Art in the Park meets again, on the Saturday of the market.
- Wednesday, November 18, 10 to 11:30 a.m.: Growing Up Wild is for ages 4 to 7, and the November theme is "Nature's Recyclers." Of the sessions still ahead, it is the only one that does not share a day with a Rose Palace event.
- Friday, November 20, 10 to 11 a.m.: The last Starting Out Wild session falls on the opening day of the Youth Super Bowl weekend.
In other words, a free option runs on many of the days the Rose Palace is busy. The City's closures page, updated October 21, listed no closures at Friedrich, but it notes that trails may close after rain until they dry out. After a wet week, check the City's closures page before driving over.
Black Friday is when the holiday events start
The Friday after Thanksgiving, November 27, is the first day of Black Friday Team Roping at the Rose Palace. It is also opening night for the Old West Christmas Light Fest at Enchanted Springs Ranch in Boerne, which runs 15 nights from November 27 through December 23, 2026, with lights, live music and Santa.
Two weekends later, the busy end of Boerne Stage Road moves to Paradise Live. The venue describes itself as a 24-acre open-air site in Leon Springs for live music, concerts, festivals and markets, with a full bar. Its events calendar goes from the Halloween shows straight to December. The Paradise Live Christmas lineup has three dates:
- Saturday and Sunday, December 12 to 13, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: The first weekend of Santa's Treasure Fest, presented by Lone Star Treasure Market, with more than 80 vendors, including local small businesses, crafters and food trucks.
- Saturday, December 12, from 5 p.m.: The 3rd Annual Jakobie Bell Toy Drive concert, headlined by Don Louis and Bubba Westly with Jakobie Bell. Tickets start at $48.50 and are separate from the market. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the event runs until 11:30 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday, December 19 to 20, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: The second weekend of Santa's Treasure Fest.
December 12 is the busiest single day on this calendar. The market runs until 6 p.m., the concert doors open at 5 p.m., and the venue says the music goes until 11:30 p.m. If you want to shop without the concert crowd, Sunday, December 13, or the December 19 to 20 weekend may be easier.
What the Rose Palace adds in spring
The Rose Palace has added another use to its calendar. The Boerne Star reported on June 6, 2026, that the Texas Wild Hogs, an arena football team, will play at the San Antonio Rose Palace in the American Arena League's 2027 expansion season. The paper said the team would be formally introduced at a June 17 press conference at the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce. In a March 5 announcement, the team named the Rose Palace its official home arena, and the venue's homepage says the team is "Coming Spring of 2027."
That gives the Rose Palace home games in spring, on top of a fall calendar that already fills every November weekend this year. For anyone who lives about 10 minutes away by Babcock and Scenic Loop, it helps to know the venue's season, not just its next event.
